ROUND STEEL DISC
400mm diameter with ‘430’ stamped on reverse
This hand painted disc was donated to the museum and noted that it ‘came from a guards van’. There was no more information available about it.
We made enquiries and discovered that the stamp of 430 refers to brake van ZJA430 that was used on the 'Mullewa' train service. Rail Heritage WA put it on their website and someone gave them more information about it.
The panels were attached to the doors of the brake van.
Another one the same is in a private collection.
If you have any more information, please contact the museum.

GREENOUGH RIVER FLOODS
When it rains heavily in the catchment area of the Greenough River there is regular flooding of the river downstream.
The following images taken by the Midwest Development Commission in 2006, show the effect of the floodwaters on this area.
